New features in Engatta 4

References

• With References, users can attach a file or add a link to a content item. The file or link supports the creation of the content and may contain guidelines about the content.
• References can also be added to the content type, such that they are available (as read-only references) to all content items.

Ownership

• Each content item can have an owner now. As an owner, you get automatically notified in conversations about that content item
• Each Engatta user might be owner
• Owners also appear as an option in faceted search

Delivery status

In the current situation, there is an unclear difference between a content item that has been published and one that has been delivered to certain channels. Publication and Delivery are two separate steps in the content process;

• Publish - Mark a content item as ready to be displayed on any channel. This means the text of the content item has been reviewed, the lead image has been checked for copyright, etc. etc. and everything is OK. Marking a content item as ready doesn't necessarily mean it is actually delivered to any channel. Even a published content item may be available forever in Engatta but never be delivered to any channel (for example when no destination channel is assigned).
• Deliver - Actually deliver a content item to a specific channel, i.e. Twitter or Instagram. A content item is only allowed to be delivered when it has been published, but a published content item is not necessarily delivered to any channel.

Clipboard

• With the clipboard, users can easily copy content from the content item and further process it somewhere else
• With the shared link option, people with no Engatta account can (re)view the content and share thoughts or comments. The link can be shared via chat, mail, or text message.
• For each shareable link, the user can alter the expiration date. The default is 30 days.
