Engatta Release 8, Oct 23, 2023
The following new features are available in Release 8.
In previous releases, when a System Administrator created an account, a temporary password was generated which could be used for the first login. As of Release 8, the email address field of a new account is a required field. The email address is used to send an activation link to the user after an account has been created. The activation link in that email opens a form to set a password for the account. The link is valid for 5 days.

When a user forgets the password, a System Administrator could use the "Reset Password" option in Engatta to create a new temporary password. As of Release 8, the user itself can request a new password by using the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. The user will receive an email with a password reset link. The link is valid for 1 hour.

It is now possible to delete accounts from the Accounts overview or Account details view. Deleting an account will remove the account from the accounts overview and the account can no longer be selected as owner of an item or as assignee of a task. However, when an account is already the owner of an item or assignee of a task, this is unaffected after deleting that account. The account name however will be postfixed with "Deleted" to indicate that the account no longer exists. The account will also still be available as facet value in faceted search, making it easy to find all tasks assigned to a deleted account.

Links can now be used in conversations. As soon as a URL is used in a conversation message, the URL will be detected automatically and shown as a clickable link in the conversation.

In most situations, this new feature should not be visible at all. But if for whatever reason your connection to the Engatta application is slow, a loading indicator may appear to indicate that the system is busy.

The purple markers on the group row in the planner are now clickable. When the marker is clicked, the group will expand and scroll down to ensure that the content item for which the marker indicates the publication date is in view.
The features below are introduced in Release 8 as Beta features. A Beta feature can be activated by the Engatta support team. If you would like to activate it, please contact support.
The LinkedIn import facilitates importing LinkedIn posts as content items in Engatta. The import must be configured to be authorized for your LinkedIn account. Whenever a new post is available on the LinkedIn account, a corresponding content item in Engatta is created automatically.
The RSS import facilitates importing RSS items from one or more RSS feeds as content items in Engatta. Only a list of RSS feed URLs is needed to configure this import. The import will automatically create a channel and content type corresponding to the items in the feed. To identify a channel corresponding to an RSS feed, a new field "URL" has been added to the details of a channel.
