Engatta Release 3, December 21, 2023
This release of Engatta has two major new features, plus additional UX and technical improvements and upgrades.
New major features in Engatta
- Collections & Planner
- Faceted search
Collections & Planner 🗓️
Imagine a campaign with content for different touchpoints in a customer journey spread over multiple channels. How do you keep the overview, and do you know when you and your teammates have to start to finish on time?
With collections and the planner in Engatta, you can group content items based on a category, and have an overview that provides lead time, open tasks and order ordered based on publication date.
Collections
In order to use the planner, we first need to create collections.
- Group content items around a topic with Collections
- Create and define the predefined colour for Categories
- Add content to Collections, or choose one or more Collections from the content item
Planner
The planner shows the collections, and when unfolded the content items in the collections.
- The bar for each content item show lead time. Lead time is defined in the content type and automatically predicated on content items.
- The newly introduced cool tip provides information in context
Faceted search 🕵🏻
How do you reduce large amounts of content items and tasks to an overview relevant to you?
Basically in no time with our faceted search.
- Filter on facets like content type, status, or assignee and get quickly to a subset of items you are looking for.
- The available filters depend on the area in Engatta.
New smaller features and improvements ✨
In each release, we add small features and technical or UX improvements.
Additional features
- The Engatta interface is also available in Dutch. Change language by changing the language setting of your browser.
- Visual notification of uncompleted tasks and new comments notifications on the sidebar of a content item. Uncompleted tasks prevent tasks from begin published, so it's important to make sure all tasks are completed.
- Each content item has a source channel. The value of the source channel is read-only and can't be changed. You can use a source channel to import content that was created outside Engatta and display it on the Calendar. Content from a source channel can also be used to create new content.
- When you navigate away from a page without saving you get a not saved notification.
- You can without opening change the status of a global conversation to unread, or change the status of all conversations to unread.
- There is a visual clue when a content item has one or more tasks open or in progress, that inhibit content to be delivered
- Destinations (formerly known as Channels) are now defined in content types, in content items you can only select those predefined destinations.
- The tooltip for all links on hover display relevant links now
- Update of date and time notation to the new standard and show a readable format
Technical improvement
- Upgrades of FusionAuth, Mongo DB and the Library
- We use a content generator to import content, tasks and conversations into Engatta for test and demonstration purposes. In this release, we extended the number of imported sources and the way it is imported and shown in Engatta
